Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 28, 2026
This policy covers every KS-ByteBox app: FlipConvert, ByteTidy, JuiceView, ByteTable, ByteDraft, MailCrate, ProofSync, PubCrate, ScanScribe, NotePeek, PageCrate, and any apps we release in the future. The short version: our apps run entirely on your PC, and we do not collect your data.
What we collect
Nothing. KS-ByteBox apps do not create accounts, do not track you, and contain no analytics or telemetry. We do not gather your files, your usage, your device identifiers, or any personal information.
How the apps work
Everything happens locally on your device. When an app reads your files, your databases, or information about your connected devices, it does so only on your computer to do the job you asked for. Your files and their contents are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. They stay on your machine. The one exception is a problem report you choose to send us, described below, and it never includes your files.
Purchases
Purchases and licensing are handled by the Microsoft Store. When you buy one of our apps, the transaction is processed by Microsoft under Microsoft's own terms of sale and privacy policy. We never see your payment details. Please refer to Microsoft's privacy policy for how that information is handled.
Support and problem reports
If you email us at support@ks-bytebox.com, we use what you send us only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not share your email with anyone.
Some apps include a "Report a problem" option. Nothing is sent when you use it until you choose to send it. Before you send, the app shows you the exact contents of the report, including any log lines it would attach, and you can leave those out. What we receive is what you typed, the app name and version, and the log lines you chose to include. We store that so we can act on it. An email address is optional, so you can report a problem without telling us who you are, and if you leave it out we have no way to reply.
The log lines record events, never the contents or names of your files. The apps themselves still send nothing on their own. There is no background reporting, no crash upload, and no telemetry.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
